Dell Streak In Preorder Today

Preorder opened today for iPad rival Dell Streak.

The Dell Streak have a five-inch screen, built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5 megapixel camera, microSD-expandable memory up to 32GB, turn-by-turn navigation from Google, and 3G for e-mail, texting, instant messages, and voice calls – running Android 1.6.

Can it challange the iPad?

No iPad Killer in 2010

Steve Ballmer showing tabletMicrosoft is waiting on Intel’s new processor. Steve Ballmer says; “We’ll get a boost sometime after the new year when Intel brings its new Oak Trail processor to market.”

The Oak Trail processor (low power processor suited for tablets) isn’t expected before early 2011, so the ‘iPad Killer’ probably won’t be on the market until this time next year.

And who knows how the iPad will look like at that time…?

iPad Makes Apple 3rd in Laptop Sales

Only Acer and HP sales more laptops then Apple according to Deusthe Bank (end of june quarter). This is if one includes the iPad sales figures, which moves Apple from 7th in laptop sales to 3rd – moving past Asus, Lenovo, Toshiba and Dell.

…and the trend seems to continue when looking at sales figures from July.
